She completed her undergraduate education at Marmara University and Germany - Regensburg University, Department of Political Science and International Relations.

She started her career in the field of Human Resources as a manager candidate at Kibar Holding, Afterwards, she worked as HR Business Partner in international companies such as Danone, GSK, and Vodafone. She worked as International HR Manager at Evyap Holding. She also did facilitation, team coaching, and internal training in the last institutions she worked for. Since 2017, she has been teaching with Evaluation and Development Center studies, 360-degree assessments and personality inventory feedback, individual coaching, and team coaching.

Derya, who has devoted herself to Gestalt Psychology since 2012 completed the Gestalt Psychology basic training program and she is still working in this field. She completed ORSC (Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching) and Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching training in 2013. In 2015, she completed 1-year relationship and team coaching certification at CRR Global (Center for Right Relationships) in the USA. She also completed Coaches Training Institute (CTI) Coaching Trainings. She has the title of ICF Accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC). She is a certified implementer of PAPI (Personality and Preference Inventory) and EIP3 (Emotional Intelligence Profile) tools. Derya, who believes in lifelong learning, also took Transactional Analysis training and continues to participate in different spiritual studies. She works as a simultaneous interpreter in the Turkey trainings of Vernon Frost, who works in the field of metaphysics and healing.

For 16 years, she has been carrying out voluntary work for orphaned children within the body of SHCEK. Derya, who loves reading, theater, and cinema, is also an underwater lover as an advanced rescue diver. She has a podcast series called "Derya İçre Conversations" which she defines as conversations from the heart on Gestalt Psychology, Sufism, Coaching, and Spiritual Healing.
